You say tomah-toh, I say tomato...Brooke's science fair project was determining which fertilizer assisted tomato growth the best. Her results were that our 'home-grow' vermicast (from the wormies on the porch) produced the best results. we bought five plants, four went back and forth to school and one stayed home, (kind of like the five little piggies). The one that stayed home, is the biggest of the five, and yesterday to our delight, we discovered that it has a teeny tiny tomato on it! After reading about the tomato crops getting wiped out in Florida because of the icy weather, I'm happy that we have our own plants! Now, if I can protect them from the birds, I'll be a happy girl. When it's time for tomato basil bruschetta or panini, I'll give y'all a call!
